Peer Assessment

This is the feedback I got from my peers. I will use the feedback I received to improve my magazine front cover and contents page.

Student Name 1: Hafsah	How To Improve

Level2/mark 30 for the front cover. Level3/mark 38 for the contents page	This front cover is good and the effects which have been used show a good understanding of the program which has been used. The barcode has been raised which shows that you have an understanding of what will happen to magazine after it has been printed. You have4 included words such as ‘free’ so that people will look at your cover and buy your magazine. The price has been included in a way that it looks like it is on a special offer and that is a way to get people to buy the magazine based off the front cover. The background image is clear and doesn’t look like it has been stretched out; it looks like it has been taken for the purpose to be put on to the magazine front cover. Just add more puffs for articles which will be inside you magazine.	This contents page is good but there is a lot of free space at the bottom which could be filled in with something. The way the images have been layered has a good effect on the contents page and makes it appealing.

Front Cover: Level 2 mark 26 Ø  Excellent font cover with slick graphics effect Ø  Really good title block Ø  Use of barcode Ø  Use of price on the front cover Ø  Different variations of colours Ø  Use of puffs Contents Page: Level 2 mark 29 Ø  Organised layout ØFantastic pictures of   different groups Ø   Loads of pages inside containing pictures and text	Ø  More puffs to make add more attraction Ø  A more recognized artist so the public can familiarise themselves with the music star Ø  Put the price tag further down the page because it is blocking the title Ø  Take out the white box from the title and make it blend in with your background cover	Ø  The colour of ‘contents’ title doesn’t fit in with your house style colours Ø  Not all the pictures have the page numbers highlighted blue over them
